| Pirates go to the World Cup |
 We had some very exciting news today, one of our very own Pirates has made the world cup ladies team. Melinda Lattimer (Mindy).
Mindy is only 16, two years younger than any other player in the Australian team. Mindy played her junior baseball with the Pirates up until the age of 12 when parents Karen and Phil decided to move to the mid north coast. Speaking to Phil and Mindy this afternoon they where both very excited about being selected, Mum and Dad are very proud, and I do admit I did get a little choked up myself talking to Mindy. Awesome effort by Mindy and family congratulations from the Pirates. Neil Austin Club President
